In Conversation with Tina Niewiadomski
Tell us about your background:
I began my career in Ukraine, where I studied film and television with a focus on screenwriting and directing. Early on, I worked in TV production and developed a strong foundation in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. One of my key projects was creating a new TV format, Project Perfect, which increased network ratings by 40%, shaping how I approach content strategically as well as creatively but my passion was always for fashion.
After moving to the U.S., I expanded into fashion and digital media, working with Daria Shapovalova for Nowfashion and photographer Standa Merhout, and collaborating with brands such as Lacoste. As Head of Video at COOLS in New York, I led production of editorial and branded content, managed a global team, and created short documentaries and fashion films tailored for digital audiences. After moving to LA, I worked with Maripol on a lot of her projects and was also hired for Coach 2019 S/S show, W Magazine feature, and L’Officiel shoot with Dior. I also worked as creative director for Dame Dash's brand.
I later returned to a more editorial environment through roles at PBS and WFAA/TEGNA, where I produced and edited promo and social media content for diverse audiences. These roles strengthened my ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging stories while working under tight deadlines and collaborating across teams.
In addition to my professional work, I’ve taught filmmaking and storytelling through my own short films honing my creativity. More recently, my focus has been on social media and digital content strategy—creating content that is timely, engaging, and aligned with audience behavior.
