Tell us about your background:
I'm a NY based senior level product development and global sourcing person with a strong focus on the HOME area, having worked for Martha Stewart, Ralph Lauren, Target, Shinola and some hospitality clients in full time and freelance contract roles.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

I wish I had known to keep visual records of all of the beautiful product that I developed from years back as a reminder to myself of what I've done in my product based career. And to continue to take classes and keep learning everyday because you never know when you may find certain skills useful.

Best career advice you've ever received?
A good family friend from growing up, Ruth Whitney, who was the Editor in Chief of Glamour magazine for 30 years once told me to "Say yes to any work task that is asked of you." I think it was the basis of my intense curiosity of learning how things are done, made, etc. and good work ethic because I saw how successful Ruth was in her career.

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Respect, collaboration, honesty, problem-solving, and good communication.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Currently, to find a full time role after having done contract roles for a handful of years has been a big challenge for me. And these darn tariffs are not helping.

What are your top networking tips for building strong connections in your industry?

Stay in touch with former colleagues, vendors, recruiters, and send roles you see that are not in your wheelhouse to a friend or former colleague that the role may be a good fit for because you never know when someone may do that for you.
