Tell us about your background:
I've been in logistics for 30 years, 25 of which have been at DHL, in a number of positions. My current position as Director of Business Development & Key Account Management for the Fashion & Luxury Sector at DHL has by far been my favorite and where I've thrived the most. I focus on developing solutions for Luxury & Fashion Brands which meet their supply chain needs and their sustainability goals. I spend my personal time in learning more about the industry, including attending industry events and LVMH Certificates, Parsons School of Design and multiple resource subscriptions.

What do you wish you’d known when you started out?

Success takes times. Paying your dues is real. Learn from every mistake and success! Trust your instincts.

Best career advice you've ever received?
My father told me to "go into sales and figure it out later." That was 30 years ago and I've never looked back. I found my passion through multiple positions with DHL. It took me until 2016 to find my ideal job!

What leadership qualities are important to you?

Empathy, passion, realism, patience, optimism, knowledge & expertise.

What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?

Initially it was balancing being a single mother with two children. Trying to find the balance between the two while not wanting this fact of life to define me and/or prevent opportunities. That was my hang up. I've built a network at DHL and they know that I will work as hard as I can, when I can, for as long as I can.

How has networking contributed to your professional growth and success?

It's allowed me to learn more about not only the logistics and supply chain industry but the fashion, luxury and retail industry as a whole.
