Tell us about your background:
My background is in project management, specializing in marketing and creative initiatives. Currently, at BJ’s Wholesale Club, I oversee the production and execution of in-store signage, ensuring alignment with strategic marketing goals while optimizing costs.
Previously, at Wayfair, I led North America’s print program, managing large-scale catalogs and direct mail campaigns reaching up to 50 million customers. My expertise lies in ensuring creative projects are executed efficiently within scope and budget, streamlining operations, and collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders.
I have always had a passion for style and an appreciation for beautiful things - inspired by my father, a tailor who dressed me impeccably from a young age. Although I didn't pursue a creative path in college, I'm grateful that my career led me to work alongside some of the most talented and creative individuals in the retail industry.
What do you wish you’d known when you started out?
Even people at the highest levels have imposter syndrome. Don't doubt yourself!
Best career advice you've ever received?
Don’t shy away from roles you may not meet every qualification for - this is a common hurdle among women, and something I’ve worked to overcome myself. If you’re a smart, driven individual, most skills can be learned.
What leadership qualities are important to you?
Empathic leaders are more authentic, approachable, and ultimately more effective than those who rely on a Machiavellian approach. Given how central work is to our lives, it's important that leadership never crosses into abuse of power - regardless of how high-pressure or demanding the environment may be.
What has been the biggest challenge in your career so far?
Overcoming the initial perception of being limited to administrative roles. My first job out of college was as an Executive Assistant to a Member of Congress - an exciting and high-profile opportunity. However, it took years to break out of the "admin" label and prove my capabilities beyond that scope, as many were hesitant to see me in a different light or take a chance on my potential.
