Café co-lab: Beyond the Algorithm: Building More Human Discovery

Join Arden Frank Frydman, Elizabeth Cabral, and Julia Perry for a conversation on what discovery looks like in the age of AI, and how taste, context, and human connection can continue to shape culture beyond algorithms.

Arden Frank is a communications strategist, community builder, and storyteller specializing in fashion, lifestyle, and purpose-driven brands. Over the past seven years, she has helped emerging and established companies strengthen brand perception through social strategy, influencer partnerships, community development, and editorial storytelling, building meaningful connections between brands and the people they serve.

Her career has spanned luxury fashion, beauty, wellness, and media, with experience leading social media strategy, brand communications, creator partnerships, and content initiatives for brands including EILEEN FISHER and La Mer, while advising founders and growing businesses through her independent consultancy. Whether launching campaigns, cultivating communities, or developing editorial platforms, Arden is driven by the belief that the strongest brands are built through trust, human connection, and a clear point of view.

Known for bringing people together across creative disciplines, Arden works at the intersection of communications, culture, and community—connecting founders, creators, and brands through thoughtful storytelling, strategic partnerships, and experiences that foster lasting relationships. She is particularly interested in the future of luxury, independent media, and values-led brand building, and enjoys collaborating with people who are redefining how consumers discover, connect with, and experience brands.

Elizabeth Cabral is a creative director, editor, and strategist whose work has long explored the intersection of fashion, culture, and values. With over two decades of experience across editorial, brand transformation, and creative leadership, she has built a reputation for shaping conversations around what meaningful luxury can look like in a rapidly changing world.

As the founder of Purpose and Perspective, one of the first independent style publications to connect fashion with global consciousness, Elizabeth spotlighted voices ranging from Dr. Jane Goodall to emerging designers, artisans, and cultural innovators long before purpose became an industry talking point. Her work has spanned executive editorial leadership, runway and campaign creative direction, and advising brands on how to communicate with greater clarity, integrity, and cultural relevance.

Known for her ability to connect people, ideas, and industries, Elizabeth has convened designers, NGOs, artists, and business leaders around a shared vision for a more thoughtful future for fashion and lifestyle. Her perspective combines deep cultural fluency with systems-level thinking across media, commerce, and impact.

Julia Perry is a global brand strategist, connector, and communications executive with a background spanning luxury, entertainment, fashion, and international partnerships. Prior to co-founding Purpose Collective, she held senior marketing and PR roles with major entertainment companies including MGM, 20th Century Fox, and Disney, where she developed expertise in brand storytelling, audience building, and cultural positioning on a global scale.

Over the past decade, Julia has focused her work on purpose-driven fashion, sustainability, and cross-sector collaboration, helping independent brands and organizations expand their reach across Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Her work bridges commercial strategy with cultural and social impact, creating partnerships and visibility opportunities that connect brands to broader conversations shaping the future of industry and consumer behavior.

Julia brings a uniquely international perspective to Purpose Collective, combining deep relationship-building across fashion, media, hospitality, and advocacy with a strong understanding of how community and storytelling drive meaningful engagement.
