Café co-lab: Take Up Space: Speaking with Executive Presence with Allison Henry Aver and Lauren Paris

Most of us focus on what we say and overlook what our voice, body, and presence are saying for us. Executive presence is a skill, and it can be practiced. Join Allison Henry Aver and her communications coach, Lauren Paris, who has spent over 10 years helping executives and leaders close that gap. Lauren will walk through the warm-up she uses before any high-stakes moment and cover the coaching themes that change how you show up. You’ll leave with practical techniques to command a room (or a zoom!)  and speak like the expert you already are.

Allison Henry Aver is the Founder and Executive Creative Director of Letter A, a creative agency for fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands, based in Portland Oregon.

Prior to Letter A, she was a Creative Director with agency, in-house, and fractional consulting experience. Her expertise in branding grew from leading in-house creative marketing teams at Vogue, kate spade new york, Ann Taylor, Bumble and bumble, and Hanna Andersson. She was also the founding Director of Brand Creative for the cult brand, Kate Spade Saturday.

As an Executive Communications coach, Lauren Paris is a trusted partner to both individuals and organizations. She works with professionals seeking 1:1 coaching as well as companies that offer her services through employee development programs.

Lauren has provided executive communication coaching for a diverse range of successful professionals including legal, marketing, beauty, and commercial real estate industries since 2016. She works with corporate clients, who offer her coaching services as a benefit to their employees, as well as individuals.

Lauren brings a highly effective perspective to her practice: almost 20 years as a professional and award-winning stage actor/singer, as well as work in corporate communications. She integrates select acting and vocal techniques into her coaching — not to turn clients into performers, but to help them build new muscle memory to communicate with intention, awareness, and impact.

With degrees in theatre and communication studies from Loyola University Chicago rooting her practice, she’s an expert storyteller who focuses her work on human connection, through which the possibilities are endless.
