Café co-lab: The Reality of Start-up Roles: Flexibility, Ownership & Accountability with Advika Aggarwal and Megan MacDonald

Join us for a discussion with co-lab member and Senior Director of Marketing & E-Commerce Advika Aggarwal and Megan MacDonald, Head of U.S. Wholesale Operations at Papier. In a startup, roles aren’t rigid — they evolve. This conversation will explore what it takes to thrive in that kind of environment: navigating shifting priorities, building with limited resources, and staying accountable when there’s no manual.

Advika Aggarwal is a seasoned marketing and e-commerce leader with hands-on experience driving growth across the full product lifecycle—from concept to global scale—in travel, fashion, and lifestyle brands. At Paravel, she elevated the brand’s global presence by seamlessly integrating sustainability, design excellence, and data-driven performance. Drawing on her Parsons School of Design background, Advika bridges sustainability, design, and business to shape brands that resonate globally.

Megan MacDonald is the Head of U.S. Wholesale Operations at Papier, a UK-based stationery brand, where she leads fulfillment and operational strategy from her home base in Pittsburgh. With eight years of startup experience, she brings firsthand insight into navigating shifting priorities, taking initiative, and driving results in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
